Fantasy Football Rankings Risers And Fallers: Breece Hall Is Climbing

Zain Dhanani has updated his fantasy football rankings and identified 6 risers and fallers after two weeks of preseason games.

Published Updated

This was the first fantasy football rankings update where the preseason actually changed how I expect to draft, with six players moving enough that I wanted to explain what changed.

Risers in Fantasy Football Rankings

NYJ_jets-logo.svg Breece Hall (No. 43 to No. 27)

Once Aaron Glenn said Breece Hall should be back from his groin strain for Week 1, I moved him up 16 spots because if I open WR-WR, this is where the RB pool gets ugly and Hall separates from the group. His targets fell from 95 in 2023 to 48 last season (Justin Fields effect), but he still ranked No. 11 in YPRR among 64 RBs with at least 100 routes, and a partial rebound in that receiving role would give him one of the better ceilings in this range if this offense is average.

CLE_browns-logo.svg KC Concepcion (No. 114 to No. 88)

I feel much better about KC Concepcion starting immediately after Cleveland held him out following an encouraging debut and he came back with several big plays in the joint practices against Buffalo. Todd Monken has compared him with Zay Flowers, and Cleveland is already using him on screens, in motion and on jet sweeps, a role that fits a player who accounted for 27.2% of Texas A&M's receiving yards last season and whose 70 career college rush attempts show there’s another way to get the football.

MIA_dolphins-logo.svg Chris Bell (No. 203 to No. 168)

Chris Bell is basically free, but he is now one of the players I am prioritizing late after shedding the non-contact jersey and getting cleared for Miami's preseason finale. I liked him more than Caleb Douglas before the ACL tear, and the production backs that up—Bell accounted for 32.0% of Louisville's receiving yards in 2025 compared with 21.3% for Douglas at Texas Tech— while Douglas has locked down one outside job and Bell has the size and YAC ability to push for the other one.

Fallers in Fantasy Football Rankings

KC_chiefs-logo.svg Rashee Rice (No. 26 to No. 28)

Rashee Rice only fell two spots, with Flowers moving ahead after a few camp reports and practice clips made me question whether Rice is fully recovered from the knee surgery. My goal in the first three rounds is largely to avoid losing the draft, and Flowers averaged 2.53 YPRR in 2025—fourth among 132 qualified WRs and better than the 2.39 a healthy Rice posted in 2023—so I can move him ahead without giving up any ceiling at all.

TEN_titans-logo.svg Tony Pollard (No. 79 to No. 95)

I was too high on Tony Pollard at No. 79 because Tennessee's backfield looks much closer to a real split than I expected, with Tyjae Spears taking the two-minute and receiving work that matters most in PPR formats. Spears ran more routes than Pollard in the 13 games both were active, 215 to 200, despite playing 68 fewer snaps, so Pollard is left needing early-down volume in an offense that scored 1.41 points per drive and ranked 30th of 32 teams.

DAL_cowboys-logo.svg Jaydon Blue (No. 174 to No. 238)

I had been ranking Jaydon Blue as Dallas' RB2, but Cowboys reporters came away from the preseason believing Malik Davis had won that job, and last year's usage makes that difficult to dismiss. Blue did not play an offensive snap from Weeks 9 through 17 while Davis logged 147, including 31 pass-blocking snaps compared with six for Blue. So he now needs to jump Davis and have something happen ahead of him before he gets the workload I was originally drafting him for.
